Lisa Miller is an award-winning photographer based in La Jolla, CA.  As a pediatric orthopedic surgeon turned photographer, she translates the precision of the operating room to unique tableaux.  In doing so, she isolates timeless, sometimes timeworn classic beauty and serenity often overlooked in everyday life.  Her goal is to evoke thought and emotion.
Influenced by Rembrandt, Sebastião Salgado, and Sam Abell, Lisa's work employs tone and shadow to distill complex details to their essence.  She captures and memorializes distinct impressions and hopes to inspire viewers to slow down and appreciate both the transitory nature of time as well as the timeless qualities in our surroundings.
