This project was made in Patagonia, a remote landscape defined by distance, weather, and scale. The photographs come from time spent in this environment, where experience is shaped by shifting clarity, changing conditions, and the varying ways a place comes into view.
A sense of place emerges amid movement, isolation, and occasional stillness. The series considers how scenes are encountered along roads, inside vehicles, and through obstructed or partial visibility. Seeing is mediated by windshields, distance, and weather, making perception itself part of the experience of place.
Across these situations, place is encountered indirectly and in fragments. The photographs focus on moments in which place is seen in passing: briefly perceived, held for an instant, and released into distance. Contemporary experience is shaped by partial perception and conditions that limit, filter, or interrupt how place is perceived.
